To convert a 2D house plan into 3D, all you need to do is to use readily available software available in the market. Various tutorial sessions come along with the downloadable converters such as: TurboCAD Delux, DesignCAD 3D MAX, Image DIG, 3D Maker, PSD 3D converter, Bas Relief, TopoGX converter, and Home plan Pro 5.2.21.3.

With the advancement of IT, more "techy" software applications are coming out. You can make objects move, add effects, and even transform data. A typical example is converting 2D model into 3D through the use of various software. With just few clicks, you can already alter one model to another and get results in a matter of seconds. Below are some of the software converters with their respective descriptions.

TurboCAD Deluxe

This software is intended for window users, which is an effective tool in converting 2D models into 3D drawings. This is commonly used by architects and engineers. You can choose from their unlimited designs, colors, and dimensions in creating a more realistic drawing.

DesignCAD 3D MAX

This program is easy to use even by neophyte designers. You can do animation, drafting, and other architecture-related works for both 2D and 3D models. Diverse dimensions can be created using this application depending on your needs and specifications.

Image DIG

A converter application, which allows you to change 2D into 3D images, has 3 modules that are capable of analyzing data, plots images, and process graphs. There is no need of drawing your model again; with this software, everything can be possible.

3D Maker

An Adobe Photoshop plug-in, 3D maker lets you create new drawings out of 2D images. The shading design makes your work appear more realistic by giving it a slightly raise effect.

PSD 3D converter

A program that is especially created to convert 2D to 3D designs. Although programmed files are made in Adobe, there is no need to install Photoshop before you can use this application.

Bas Relief

If you value depthness of an image more when converting 2D to 3D, bas relief is a good choice. This makes an effective tool in creating a make-believe design because of the strength it projects.

TopoGX converter

TopoGX is ideal software for surveyors, which is a converter, viewer, and editor at the same time. This can do automatic conversion of 2D to 3D with just one push. This can turn a simple blueprint of your house into something real and believable.

Home plan Pro 5.2.21.3

If you need to utilize scaled dimensions and create various layers for your building designs, this CAD product is the best software for you. So easy to learn and can be downloaded, installed, and updated anytime.

When creating a house layout, be sure to make it appealing by using designer's application, so that clients will appreciate your work more.

How Do i make my own guns on FPS Creator?
I have heard of people making their own guns, but how do i do it? can i make my own people? also does antone have a 3D Model of an M8/ Xm8 could you please give me a download location. Thanks
U idiots, (sorry about the langauge) FPS creator is just a game creator.
Any way i know how to make a real gun (i am a gun nerd) but im not dumb enough to try it!

    • realgmr says:

Slow down guys! He is just asking how to make his own guns for his FPS Creator program. It makes a game, not a real gun! Sorry I don’t have an answer for you, but someone needed to say something before you got reported. Good luck.

    copyright stuff please help?
Just say you have prepared some concept sketches of the main characters in your game. You have based the appearance of some of these characters on some concept drawings you found on a web site. You have however drawn the characters yourself and will be building 3D models based on your sketches for the game. Would you need permission from the creator of the sketches that influenced your artwork?

    • frankie3215 says:

Being influenced by copyrightted material is not a crime, illegal, or immoral. Art is built on art and being able to use work in a fair way is needed to ensure that the arts and science continue to progress.

Copying on the other hand is not being influenced. The question you need to ask, and what any court would ask if one sued, is if the material was copied, or did it transform into a new original piece of work. Drawing a character someone else invented is a derivative and just because you used a different medium in a pencil or 3d program, does not mean its not copying,

If you borrow elements or ideas and transform it into your own original work, the copyright is yours and you dont need to ask for permission. However if this is copied from someone, you do.

Blender 3D a Good Modeling Program?
I’m an amateur game creator, and I’m sick of using packs of other people’s models for my games. I know Blender is complicated, but is it worth it? If I put some time into learning it and pay attention to what I’m doing, will I be able to make decent quality models?

    • Farrukh says:

Yes, Blender is the most used and well known free 3D modeling application. You will find more tutorials on blender than any other program so yes I would recommend you use it. There are plenty of plug ins for blender and its good as 3DS MAX and Maya. If familiarize yourself with the tools and techniques used to model 3D objects then you will be able to follow a tutorial made for 3DS or Maya in Blender because the major tools and techniques are the same. I have watched videos of people making objects in Blender and Maya and was able to use those techniques in 3DS MAX and got pretty goof results.

Is the Vista Operating System good or bad?
I’ve been receiving mixed messages, and this is what I’ve learned so far

From the Internet: If you install vista on an XP, it sucks. It apparently sucks so bad, that you’d trade your computer for a windows 98
But if you buy a vista computer (one that has vista preloaded and was made for vista) brand new, then it is decent

From my Friends: If you install it, it still sucks. But if you buy the preloaded computer system, then it’s a pretty good computer. My friend owns a vista laptop, and i’ve used it a couple times, and I think it’s pretty good. The only problem we’ve had is windows aero, which we resolved by turning it off.

What do you guys think of it? I want to buy a Vista Laptop, and do you have any recommendations? I’m going to be using it for a lot of gaming, internet, movies, movie editing, photo editing, 3D modeling, and creating games with FPS Creator X10. So i need a good all around computer.

    • Mint Debian Edition 201109 says:

Vista Home Premium is a fine piece of kit, however if you are considering purchasing Vista then I suggest hanging on for Windows 7, I am currently working with Windows 7 (Build 6801)
It has the speed and stability of XP, and the looks and security of Vista. In short its everything Vista should have been and can’t wait for the final release.

    Google Sketchup / Flash help?
Hey all. I’m stuck, because I’m making a Flash racing game that needs the 3D models of other people’s Google Sketchup race tracks (as I lack experience of Google Sketchup myself). All I need is to be able to use some models, and I can get my game started, but the thing is, I can’t get in touch with any of the creators of the models. Do I have to ask the owner for permission to use their model in a game that will create revenue? I am ready and willing to give them a share of the revenue gained, depending on how much of a contribution their track(s) made to the overall game, its just that I can’t ask them. Is there any way of emailing or messaging the owner at their google account? Also, if anyone who is even reasonable experienced in making things on Google Sketchup is reading this, and you think that you could be of assistance for some of the total revenue, or if you know anyone who could be assistance please email me at jackgre99@hotmail.com with any relevant information. You’re help would be very very useful. It’s the same story with cars folks. If anyone who has / can / might be able to have (etc.) the ability to make reasonably professional looking cars is reading this, and you think that you could be of assistance for some of the total revenue, or if you know anyone who could be assistance please email me at jackgre99@hotmail.com with any relevant information. From where did God come from?
This is a reply i got from a friend, which is really convincing too! IT MADE ME RELIGOUS AGAIN!

Many ask from where God came from. Because we can’t imagine something that always existed. We cant even imagine the principle of infinity and such! Keyword: IMAGINE! not KNOW or DEFINE! Infinity + 1= ? if you can answer this you win a nobel prize! (no you wont)

So the question of where god came from is due to our understanding of TIME! but Time is just another Dimension out of 11! like 1dimensional, 2D, 3D, etc.
    ______________________________
    Now listen to this theory:

The thing about the origins. Not everything is bound to have an origin, at-least one thing has to be free of origin, for else we could not exist.

    Let me explain:

Imagine yourself a big room, let’s say the size of a football field. This room is empty, as in totally empty. No life, no lifeless things, no light, not even the tiniest particle.

Now let’s change the size of the room. We’ll make it eternal, it goes on and on in all directions. The room, which is actually the Universe we live in, is still empty. Nothing exists. Yet. We do know we exist, you are the living proof of that!! So there has to be something that appeared in the room. But the room was empty, and there is nothing else than the room. You could think that over time, something, maybe just a little particle, would appear in that room. That’s not possible.

You see, for the particle to “spawn” in the room, it takes some effort, some energy. It takes less energy for the particle to just stay where it was before it spawned in the room, and therefore it will not spawn at all. Thus, no matter how long you’ll wait, nothing will appear at it’s own. It has to be created. But to BE created, there must be a creator. Then you’ll get the question “who created the creator?”

There must be something, a “creator”, that can create something else, you for example or the “particle” –> That condensed ball of Energy as in the Big Band THEORY!. That thing, let’s call it the “Creator”, for the sake of the example, didn’t have an origin. This creator, can’t be affected by time or space, and is therefore out of space-time. (duh) This creator created the first (few) thing(s), which eventually started something new, us for example.

    Conclusion:

For us to exist, which we do, there has to be something that wasn’t created, thus has no origin. You can call this “Thing” god, you can call it the beginning of everything. The Energy for the Big Bang came from it.
    __________________________
And now dont tell me this is just a THEORY, because i know you all people believe in the Big Bang THEORY or CYCLIC Model from Einstein because of the evidence we see nowadays (Universe Expansion)

Btw Fundies dont answer! the world did not come to existence in 6-7 days… i assume…
And please you atheists who only answer to have fun… you guys amuse me btw ;D and i know its fun! But srsly guys ask yourself if you’re open minded individuals before answering this! But srsly i prefer the atheistic answers to this!! and dont bash on the religions! Yes, as a former atheist i do know that Religions are just something that came with Civilization! I only believe! No interest for the Religions… and now dont tell me i have to follow the bible… though its an interresting book (with many contradictions and by translating it so often there must be plenty mistakes in it)
And please… i hear this all the time! Some of you basterds always say there is a contradiction in the question! U KNOW WHAT!!! IGNORE ANY CONTRADICTIONS IF YOU GET WHAT I MEAN! There is a contradiction to nearly everything!! Even you!
@ enogdlrowamai: Dude! Thats what i meant! Time is a dimension! and for humans like us who can only perceive in 3D its hard to imagine Time as a dimension. And besides, ask your physics teacher if y you want to… but there is not much known about time! Some describe it as a constant arrow, some as something else and etc. And did you know that in physics TIME TRAVEL is POSSIBLE??
@ Phyxius Ænimus yes refute it! that part is written wrong! my bad! but as i said! there might be some contradictions in there! I didnt revise it to the fullest!
Just think of it as this though: That what ultimately creates (At the top of the line of creating) cannot be created. Because he, who creates was always there. Before the dimension of Time came to existence!
At the beginning the Universe didnt even have ANY dimensions! what is a mere dot full of energy? is it 3D??!!

    • (TLS) Matthew 24:27 says:

This question is logically problematic. If everything needs a creator, than no matter what exists, it must have been created. Furthermore, to be created means that someone or something had to create it. But then, who created the creator and so on? Logically, this would mean there would be an infinite regression of creators (prior causes), and we would never be able to find the first uncaused cause, since by definition (the question says that “everything needs a creator”) there wouldn’t be any uncaused cause. This would mean that the sequence of creations is eternal. But, if it exists that there is an eternal regression of creators, then who created the infinite regression of creators? Remember, the question presupposes that all things need a creator — even the eternal sequence of creators — which becomes logically absurd. Furthermore, if there is an eternal regression of creators that are eternal, then the question is not answered. In fact, it cannot be answered, since its weakness is that “all things need a creator.” Of course, this only begs the question in that how did the process begin? Therefore, the question only raises the same problem it asks, and it is a question that, by its own design, cannot be answered. Therefore, it is invalid.

The question is better phrased as a statement: “Everything that has come into existence was brought into existence by something else.” This is a more logical statement and is not wrought with the difficulties of the initial question. In the revised statement, “Everything that has come into existence” implies that the thing that “has come into existence” did not already exist. If it did not already exist but then came into existence, then something had to bring it into existence, because something that does not exist cannot bring itself into existence (a logical absolute). This pushes the regression of creators back to what we would call the theoretical “uncaused cause” since there cannot be an infinite regression of creators as discussed above; and since an infinite number of creators would mean there was an infinite number of creations and created things, including things that cannot be destroyed since they would constitute things that exist. If that is so, then the universe would have had an infinite number of created things in it, and it would be full. But it is not full. Therefore, there has not been an infinite regression of creations.

By definition, the Christian God never came into existence; that is, He is the uncaused cause (Psalm 90:2). He was always in existence and He is the one who created space, time, and matter. This means that the Christian God is the uncaused cause, and is the ultimate creator. This eliminates the infinite regression problem.

Some may ask, “But who created God?” The answer is that by definition He is not created; He is eternal. He is the One who brought time, space, and matter into existence. Since the concept of causality deals with space, time, and matter, and since God is the one who brought space, time, and matter into existence, the concept of causality does not apply to God since it is something related to the reality of space, time, and matter. Since God is before space, time, and matter, the issue of causality does not apply to Him.

How would I go about making a Multiplayer FPS game?
    Hello,
I would like to make my own Multiplayer FPS game but I have no idea where to start.
I already have planned nearly every aspect of the game (21 word pages worth of documentation for it) and now I want to start building it.
I have very little programming knowledge but I can “half” program in visual basic so I’m not completely useless and I am quite good at using the Cry engine Sandbox2 editor, I can also 3d model.
Where would I start however? Is it possible to free download the Source Engine or Source SDK or would I be better off buying something like FPS Creator X10? Even if I could use a quake or old unreal engine I would be happy but I’m not that sure on how all this stuff works.

    Suggestions?

(And yes I am in this for the long haul and would even learn C++ if I had to.)

It depends how complex you want your 3D models to be and also what you want to do with your 3d model after you’ve finished it, i.e importing it into a game.

All the professionals use Autodesk 3DS Max and Maya, but cost a lot of money and are very large. Blender is free and small and is very complicated in my opinion. Google Sketchup is free and small but doesn’t have the ability to export into a game engine.

Zmodeler is ok, free (apart from if you want to export), bu unfortunatly very little documentation and tutorials are available for it.

So in short they all have advantages and disadvantages, but it all really depends what you are looking to 3d model, and what you want to do with it when you completed it :)

Use Google Street View to Create Game World?
Is it possible to use something like Google street view to create 3D models that can be used to create game locations? Like The Getaway used London and the creators had to go round taking pictures of all the streets to make it look as real as possible. Now most of Europe, North America, Australia are just some of the places covered by Google Earth.
Is there a program that can recognize from the size of the objects in the images how big something is in real life, and then go on to build an accurate 3D model of it?
If so this could mean that people can create accurate 3D worlds or nearly the entire world, all of which could be used in games (among other things)

I don’t think that there is a program capable of building 3d models from Google maps (yet :P ) but i remember stumbling across a graffiti game in which you travelled around New York in Google street-view and could paint on the side of buildings and trucks. The graphics were fairly pixellated, but the program managed to stick your graffiti to the walls, and even applied perspective when you rotated and panned the view.

Somehow this game managed to recognise how far away the buildings were, and even the angle you were viewing them from, so I’m confident that sometime soon your idea might be a reality. :)

Making a game – where to begin?
I know game developing isn’t fun nor easy. I’m not interested in using third party programs(FPS creator/Game Maker/etc). I’m in college and have 3D/2D experience when it comes to art and I have a friend who graduated college who’s a programmer of every language I can think of. PHP/C++/C#/JS/VB/Etc.

The problem we’ve run into however is where to begin. He knows his part. I know mine. Now what? Where does he go from programming to game programming? Where do I go from 3D models to a level? We’ve looked into a few opened engines, UDK, Orge,Havok, etc. We’re not really interested in the programs they offer to make games. We would like to implement Havok into our game and he knows how – but he doesn’t know how to program for example moving a player. I don’t know how to go from a level design to putting it in the game, etc. We’re just interested and want to put our feet in and test out how well we do. There are hundreds of none-published online MMO games or FPS so we figured they had to start somewhere.

Any advice from game developers that have worked on decent games (not flash, talking PC/360/etc) would be helpful.

i need a modelling program that can design 3d models for games, with arma 2 being the main one. It being free would be nice as these don’t need to be really high detail models, and quite simple as the closest thing I’ve done to this is CAD 3D drawings on pro-desktop, solid works, etc… .

Also what is a good map editor/creator for arma2 etc.. (not the mission editor)

  16. Christopher Langan says:

I don’t want to upset you, but a game of the magnitude your talking about would not only be extremely difficult to program, but also quite expensive in terms of purchasing a program to do such.

Secondly, your computer would most likely be unable to run any sort of program involving 3D rendering or intense program execution without either crashing or experiencing mass lag.

Unfortunately, to build a game of your standard, I would learn a programming language such as C and learn how to create basic models (or perhaps find existing models).

    Sorry about that.

Not ’cause i’m overwhelmed with the happiness that Mary Jane brings me; but my lack of skill at drawing, and to be more specific my lack of skill at drawing characters or 3D creature models. I can draw buildings and interiors just fine.

I’m a Gameaholic and i’ve even seen in my head what would be a kick a** game with kick a** mechanics; it’d rival Halo for sure. But i’m no game creator and the only option would be for me to sell my story and concepts, right?
But before I can create concepts I need to be able to write and draw out my universe.
What drawing schools should I look into?

What difference does it make why I want it? My friend asked me to look for it and I can’t remember the name of the one I had played with before. How is this pathetic? If I want to masturbate to badly rendered 3d I would just go play the Sims.

What is the best game creator to buy?
I want to build an FPS game. I’d like to be able to import 3d models and/or maps from free CAD software if possible. I know a little C++, not enough to fully program a game, but enough to print text or make a calculator in Visual Basic. I would like to be able to alter scripts and other simple things like that. My budget is around $50-100. I’d like to make use of my computer’s quad core processor and DX10 graphics card.

    What should I get?

Is it ok to model something in 3D if the origonal idea isnt mine.?
Like say I wanted to model Something ex: Micky mouse. could I put that in my demo reel and call it mine. Do I need to credit the concept to the creator or at least say character concept not my own. or is it just bad parctice to model something and put it in your demo reel when you don’t have permission to do so.

    • N says:

Model your own ideas. It’s a really bad idea to model cartoons that already exist, especially something so quintessentially important to cartoonist history like Mickey Mouse, who belongs in the 2D world. Whoever is looking at your demo reel can very easily spot out any differences between your Mickey and the classic Mickey because it’s just a recognizable image. I suggest making your own model out of an original idea, not only to showcase your modeling skills, but also to show that you have the capability to make up your own characters.

I want to create video games, but can’t seem to find the right program. Can anybody help me?
I’ve been searching for a career path to go down, and i have chosen to go down the game industry path because i would like to design video games, ya know like make the characters and scenery yourself. I am having the hardest time finding anything like this, I found a neat little program called milk shape 3D, with this you can make your own models but yet i don’t know how to convert models to a game creator program. This is all starting to become frustrating when it was supposed to be fun, i am very creative and i would love to design games. Preferably i would like to buy software from a store but can’t find any, all i find on the internet is free downloads but i am kind of skeptical about downloading things because of viruses that come along with them. I was just wondering if anybody that has experience with game design or anything along them lines could help me out, i am wanting a program where you can create your own models and scenery, and be able to add music and story lines and sound effects….you know all that stuff. If anybody could help me on this I would greatly appreciate it. thanks!

What 3d Softwares does game company use?
I really want to be a game modeler or a animator, but I’m not sure which program to start with. I have heard Blender, Maya, 3d Max, and some other software. Each of these software have different ways of making 3d models. So I just want to start with one and work my way up. A small information about me, I have never experienced any 3d software at all. I’m not sure if Google Sketch up counts cause I tried and know how to use it now, but I’m pretty sure Google Sketch up doesn’t help at all. I read a lot of recommendation on blender for beginning game creator, but i don’t think any large companies like valve or blizzard have ever used blender as a game engine. So I’m probably not going to use blender. So what do you guys recommend? What 3d software does game developers mostly use?

    • FastP says:

when you be professional in 3dmax and in modeling concepts.. the software will not be a problem for you at all.. at the end your model can be imported by all these software you have mentioned..

Is the Alienware m11x good for a wanna-be video game creator?
I would like to know if the the alienware m11x is good for creating 3d models and rendering them. (Obviously with the right software) But can it handle extreme details and functions. And if not which laptop would be great for that sort of stuff, and is good in the gaming region as well? Thank you very much.

    • Conner says:

well its mainly a video gaming machine but you can download trainer editing programs and there are some pretty good pro editing systems.you may want a bigger laptop with more GB and room to save your creation.it views pretty good.but it all comes down to one thing, the cost.if you want a real deal editing computer and you think it might be your career then i would suggest a better more expensive laptop or you might want a desktop.

  35. Grass says:

Could god be an extra-dimensional creature?
There is another sense in which things exist “outside of time” other than the sense that something that exists only in 3D and not 4D. This is something that exists “outside” of the entire four-dimensional construct. If a 2D object existed in the ‘wrong’ dimension, perhaps a 3D being could pick it up, turn it around and examine it. It wouldn’t be able to change it, once discovering it, because if it is only a 2D object then it doesn’t change in any other dimension. The same goes for 3D objects.

If a Human creates a sculpture, we can consider this (wrongly) to be a 3D object that doesn’t change over time (after having been created, that is). The sculptor can examine the object, rotate it and examine every 2D ‘frame’ (slice) that makes up its 3D totality. The Human being, the four-dimensional being, exists ‘outside’ of the 3D system. It can see where the model starts and ends. If there was a crack in the clay, the Human could look at the crack ‘frame by frame’ and see where it starts, trace its path, and see where it ends up. The creator of the model exists ‘outside’ of it. This becomes a very important distinction when we move to consider 4D ‘real’ objects, such as the Universe itself.

Let’s simplify the universe to our own experience and describe it as a four-dimensional entity. Some big bang models predict up to nine dimensions, but I have the same problem-of-imagination that I had with one-dimensional objects, so I’m going to ignore all dimensions but the four “real” ones.

If a God created the 4D Universe like our Human above created his 3D model, then, such a creature could take the universe and examine everything that happens in it, frame-by-frame. If a persons’ life starts at time A and ends at time B, then, like the crack in the 3D model, the ‘outside’ observer can view a persons’ whole life, from beginning to end, in one glance. By taking the Universe as a 4D object you get to see all history (i.e., all slides of the 3D progression) from the first frame of time to the last.

Being outside of time provides a being with an apparently omniscient knowledge of everything that will happen, and everything that has happened. Obviously our discussion has become very metaphysical, and we are now talking specifically about the Western creator-god envisaged by the Greeks and inherited by all of our monotheistic world religions.
To exist outside of time has another implication. If you existed outside of time, it would mean that there are no ‘frames’ of you that change snapshot-by-snapshot. If you are not part of time, and changing, viewing it from within, then you are outside of time viewing everything from the outside.

“I the LORD do not change.”
    Malachi 3:6
Without change-over-time, any eternal being is immutable. There are no frames, no changes over time. In other words: No progress, no retreat, no changes of mind, no learning, no psychology, no changing of emotions and no active thought. A being outside of time exists as one instant, one snapshot only (like our 2D painting in a 3D world; constant). Emotions, thought, planning, progress and all those other things require change over time. Knowledge, also, would be absolute.

Nothing new could be learned because everything that is real and true exists in the 4D object that the being outside-of-time sees all at once. A creator-god who created the universe wo

Who’s the owner the artist or the subject?
If I made a 3D character of a famous person or any person in general. Who’s the true owner of the 3D model/character the artist/creator of the piece, or the person whom it was modeled after?

    • Dr. Bob says:

      It depends.

Laws vary from state to state. Uses vary, too.

Is the person recognizable? Are you using their likeness for a commercial enterprise? Implying their endorsement of something? Making money from their image? Using their image in a way that harms their reputation? Even when the person is not recognizable, you may still be liable, believe it or not, such as showing the hands of someone who makes money as a hand model.

New York and Florida seem to have very strict laws on these uses. Other states vary.

With a simple model release, you own the art. Modify the image so that it’s not recognizable, and you own the art. Otherwise, you may need legal guidance.

    • just "JR" says:

      The plain answer is “No”.
2D images lack of the “depth” information, and no program can EVER extrapolate (correctly) that information from the 2D drawing… Photoshop has tried, but the results are pretty poor, and definitely insufficient to be used in a 3D modelling software.
Two major programs exist to make 3D models: 3DS Max (Adobe – Not cheap) and Blender (free)
There are others, but I never tried them.
3DS will allow you to place a 2D image on the background, and build your model from there, but you will still have to “invent” the depth, unless you have, at least, TWO views of the model (face and profile)

when programming/creating games how do create the level?
i have come across the conclusion that you would just use a 3d modeling program (like blender) to do this but the question i have is…

i have used 3dgamestudio and in this program it comes with its own level creator and in this you are able to assign an action to each object that you want it to have. But i have not been able to figure out how you would be able to do this in a 3d modeling program like blender. So basically i want to know if i build a level in blender how would i be able to use it in my game because as far as i know you can only build it as 1 model and so the whole level would be 1 thing and you wouldn’t be able to interact with each object.

i am kind of new to this so please bear with me if what i am saying is kind of hard to understand or sounds kind of dumb :)

Logic dictates that a desktop would be the preferred machine. The laptop is so compact, how do you dissipate the heat sufficiently? A desktop on the other hand has more room for air to ciculate arround the components, multiple 120mm fans in lieu of 1 CPU fan, really what the weight has to do with playing the game. you want to be careful the new range of Acer Laptops use a shared graphics, which means they share the ram memory?
